For R&D application, e.g., quality assurance testing, type approval of electric vehicle drive systems, complete vehicles and their components, e.g. batteries.

Automated, reproducible, realistic simulation of driving (drive cycles), e.g. field use, road driving, endurance testing, etc.

With the test bench component BattSim, the test specimen can be DC charged or discharged at the test bench.

Using the test bench component BattTest, stress tests (abuse tests) can be reproducible simulated, optional within a wide range of environmental conditions, in a stress test container, e.g. outdoor separated from the test cell.

 

 

 

The system test bench consists of the following main components:

 

  • Clamping table for holding the drive unit and the generator on the test specimen side, or braking machine and drive on the test specimen side
  • Drive train consisting of electric motor, torque measuring flange and bearings
  • HV power distribution cabinet
  • HV 400 kW BattSim / Batt Test battery / simulator / battery tester
  • Switch-on and switch-off device for attachments with up to 200 kW
  • Brake chopper
  • Insulation monitoring
  • On-board charger (22  / 44 kW)
  • Optional 150 kW fuel cell
  • 6-10 additional connection options for components on the HV grid
  • 12 V DC
  • 12 V power distribution cabinet
  • 2.5 kW 12 V battery / simulator (optional use of the original vehicle battery)
  • 5 additional connection options for components on the 12 V mains
  • Electrical power supply cabinet
